Soos & Associates, Inc was the architect for the renovation and conversion of an existing 2-story, 10,000 s.f. warehouse to office building. The structure was masonry bearing exterior walls with pre-cast concrete plank roof and floor. The scope included numerous building finishes, addition of a 2-story butt-glazed entry vestibule with stair and hydraulic elevator, interior walls and replacement of numerous windows and doors. The building’s energy performance was upgraded with envelope improvements such as additional insulation in perimeter walls, and roof, vapor barriers, and new windows. Full site improvements were made in the form of landscaping, drainage and connection to utilities. Structural engineering was provided for the removal of an existing elevator shaft and the steel structure of the new addition. Mechanical systems were replaced. An energy efficient radiant heating system was installed. Lighting/electrical systems were upgraded and the existing plumbing was reconfigured for the new interior layouts. Soos & Associates produced all construction documents in AutoCAD, and provided written specifications. All printing was provided in house. Full construction administration was provided including bidding, site inspection and review of submittals.
