The structural work scope was to design bracing for the two existing crane rail systems, in the direction perpendicular to the crane travel. We addressed and resolved the load paths generated during a lift to the existing structural steel system by the means of new steel components/bracing. This bracing was engineered to remove the torque and lateral loads placed upon the system during a lift. The existing roof beam size, material, and elevation relative to the crane systems was verified. This allowed us to document interferences, required clearances, details of structural connections and note principal dimensions.
